Greetings,
It has been a very busy week. We hope you and your families are doing well as we head into the weekend! From Monday’s town hall to kicking-off the Congressional Art Competition, there’s a lot of great things to cover this week.
Unfortunately, this week also brought heartbreak. We are praying for the Nashville community after the gut-wrenching news of another school shooting. It is an all too familiar news story that crosses our screens and Congressman Kim is committed to responding with action and common-sense gun violence prevention measures.
As always, we hope you find these updates and resources helpful, more next week!
Congressman Kim Hosts Telephone Town Hall
This Monday, Congressman Kim hosted a telephone town hall to commemorate Women’s History Month and speak about the legislation he’s been working on for our servicemembers and small businesses. He was joined by Dr. Jacquelin Agostini, professor of the Rowan College at Burlington County LIFE Program, including the Shining a Light on Her(story) series at Burlington County Library to help celebrate pioneering women and elevate their stories in our American history.
Congressman Kim was also joined by the President of New Jersey American Water to share updates on the Delaware River spill. Since Monday and as we shared in a special newsletter this week, there are no reports of chemicals from the spill detected in New Jersey’s water supply and the precautionary conservation notice for Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties has now been lifted.
Don’t worry if you missed the phone call, you can listen to the full conversation on our Youtube page! Sign-up for our future telephone town halls here!

Congressman Kim Re-Introduces Bipartisan Legislation to Increase Support For Emergency Medical Services
Last week, Congressman Kim and Congressman Mike Carey re-introduced their bipartisan Supporting Our First Responders Act to help emergency medical services (EMS) agencies with hiring and retention, training reimbursements, facility upgrades, and more. While EMS responders are first on the scene and asked to risk it all, in New Jersey and across the country, we have EMS workers on the front lines working without the level of support they need.
This week, Congressman Kim met with some local EMS providers with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, including those from Lumberton, NJ.
