We’re inspired by the leaders in our network every day, and we’ve loved seeing you connect with MAP lawmakers through our National Week of Action. There is incredible bridge-building happening across the country— it’s a real reason to have hope for the future of our democracy.

Criminal justice reform is an area in which MAP has seen significant bipartisan cooperation among our legislators. Our criminal justice reform policy champions are no exception – they brought forth thoughtful solutions to address addiction in the criminal justice system, reduce fees and expenses for juveniles, and develop re-entry programs. For many, the Future of Work is an area that requires quick policy action to address the growing challenges. Luckily, these policy champions are taking the issue area head on. Through developing startups and micro loans, removing educational barriers, creating programs that incentivize innovation, and protecting workers – these legislators are ready to take on what the future has in store. The environment is a top area of concern for young people. Having a safe and habitable environment is an issue that will affect the millennial, Gen Z, and following generations the most. Our policy champions take this responsibility with great seriousness as they have proposed and advanced solutions to energy affordability and accessibility, clean fuel programs, combating pollution, and wildlife and vegetation restoration.
