John, no one is
above the law. And that includes former U.S. Presidents.

Until just a few days after the election of Donald Trump in 2016, I had
never considered running for office. But like so many Americans, and women
in particular, his election sparked something in me. It wasn’t good enough
to sit on the sidelines anymore. Not long after, I decided to run for
Congress to challenge the Republican incumbent who represented my Orange
County district.

Thanks to the support of people like you, I won that competitive race and
headed to Washington in January of 2019. My top priority has always been
accountability for those in power—whether that’s accountability for Ben
Carson, Wall Street CEOs, or Donald Trump.

A lot has happened since my longshot run in 2018, but I’m still a
minivan-driving mom from Irvine who has the courage to stand up to
powerful special interests and deliver for working people.

[ [link removed] ]Because of you, we’ll take that fight to the U.S. Senate. We have an
important fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, so there’s no better
time to join the team.
