I was sent to Congress to work across the aisle to improve the lives of my constituents here in Sacramento County. That’s what I strive to do every day I’m in office. But here’s the thing, John: Many of my Republican colleagues who now hold a slim House majority don’t hold those values. Instead, they work against legislation to fight climate change, codify reproductive rights, and improve access to health care.
All of those things are at stake with the 2024 election. And that’s why hitting our FEC goal by midnight tonight is so important—because this is going to be a battle in the run up to the election.
John, we don’t have a lot of time and Republicans are attacking us on all fronts. The NRCC is drumming up energy and noise by announcing their top targets and a group allied with House Republican leadership is spending $2 million on attack ads.
We need to stop their momentum with this filing and we’ve got under 24 hours to do so.
