If we haven’t met yet, I’m the Senior Adviser and Acting Executive Director at the IDP. I spend most of my time helping Chair Hart turn her vision to elect more Democrats into an action plan. 

I didn’t always think I’d end up in Iowa, friend. I grew up in Indiana and spent my 20s working around the country on campaigns. I came to Iowa in 2017 to help re-elect Dave Loebsack. In October of that year, I met a farmer’s daughter from Center Point. We got married in the summer of 2020 while I was managing Chair Hart's congressional race. Last year, while I was helping re-elect Rob Sand, we welcomed our son into the world. 

I care deeply about the success of Iowa Democrats. It matters to me what kind of state my son is going to grow up in. Think about how different things would be if we elected more Democrats up and down the ballot.

Wouldn’t it be great if we had leaders who would:

• Fully fund our public schools so our kids can pursue their dreams, no matter who they are, where they live, or how much their parents make?
• Prioritize keeping our families healthy and safe by expanding access to health care and bringing down the high costs of child care? 
• Even the playing field between the ultra-wealthy and the rest of us, instead of punching down at our friends and neighbors to score political points?
