Friend,
I'm writing to ask for your help in supporting a bill that would provide doula services to low-income Ohioans.
Doulas are trained professionals who provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth. They can help to improve maternal and infant health outcomes, and they can also provide emotional support to mothers and families.

Unfortunately, doula care is often out of reach for low-income Ohioans, especially women and families of color. This bill [[link removed]] would provide funding for doula services by allowing people to use Medicaid for their services, making them available to more families.
I urge you to contact your State Representative and Senator and ask them to support this bipartisan bill. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson, District 11
Ohio Senate Democrats
P.S. If you're able to make a contribution to support this bill, I would be grateful. You can donate online at [link removed] [[link removed]]
Thank you again for your support!
