1. NC VALUES: Cat’s story.

Meet Cat Cattinson, who struggled with gender identify for years, learned about female-to-male transitioners on the Internet when she was 13, and decided to transition. After a 30 minute call with no visit, Planned Parenthood prescribed hormone therapy for twice the normal dose prescribed, rendering her voice unrecognizable. Still suffering medical issues from the hormones, Cat generously shares her story to educate the community about the dangers of medical transitioning.

2. ABC11: North Carolina treasurer Dale Folwell running for governor in 2024

“North Carolina State Treasurer Dale Folwell announced on Saturday he will run for governor in 2024, a bid that will likely require him besting Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson to earn the Republican nomination. While Republicans have controlled North Carolina's legislature since 2011 and won a majority on the state Supreme Court last November, they have struggled to enter the Executive Mansion. The GOP has won just one gubernatorial general election since 1992, and 2012 winner Pat McCrory served for just four years.”

A video obtained by Libs of TikTok showed multiple adults laughing and watching a drag performer appearing to give a lap dance to a student at Forsyth Technical Community College last Wednesday.”

5. PORT CITY DAILY: NHC Rep. Butler, three others introduce bill to loosen abortion restrictions

“Nine months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the federal law protecting a woman’s right to choose an abortion, four North Carolina House of Representatives have introduced a bill that would lower statewide restrictions.” “A new statewide poll of 500 registered voters during a week in January was done by N.C. Values Coalition — a grassroots network of North Carolinians who support and advocate for anti-abortion — and North Carolina Faith and Freedom Coalition, a faith-based “get out the vote” organization. Results showed a majority of North Carolinians believe a 72-hour waiting period should be required before an abortion. ’

‘The decision to destroy another human life is serious and should not be rushed,’ according to N.C. Values Coalition Press and Political Director Laura Macklem.”

Weekly Prayer: NC Officials

LORD, you also have instructed us to pray for our governing officials, and we come to you in the spirit of this petition. We pray for our state government and its executive, legislative, and judicial servants. May they indeed be servants unto the people, and govern in a manner that protects liberty and virtue. In the same spirit, we pray for public servants across our local governments. May they all heed your mandate in Romans 13:4 to be in positions of authority as "God's servant" and for the "good" of the public. They govern in what we confess are difficult times. May they plead with you to give them wisdom, and may your grace to govern wisely be poured out on them.

Protect us from the oppression and loss of freedoms that other countries have experienced, and help us to value and preserve freedom, which we know comes only from You.

"I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt.  I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free." Acts 7:34

Amen
