As a former AG, I know firsthand how important it is to elect Dem AGs.
As a former AG, I know firsthand how important it is to elect Democratic AGs who are on the frontlines in the fight for abortion access. I’m asking you to chip in today to DAGA’s End-of-Quarter fundraising goal and help us continue to elect champions of reproductive rights.
Catherine Cortez Masto, current U.S. Senator from Nevada and former Attorney General here.
Last summer, I stood side-by-side with thousands of women protesting the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe — we were outraged, and we knew this was only the beginning of the far-right’s attacks on abortion access.
I channel the outrage I felt that day into action, and it motivates me in my fight for women’s reproductive rights across this country. This work is critical — as you read this email, a Trump-appointed Texas judge is considering the future of the medication abortion pill mifepristone in a lawsuit driven by the same rightwing extremists that helped overturn Roe.
Democratic Attorneys General have been on the frontlines in the fight for abortion access. They’ve made their voices loud and clear, telling the court that millions of patients across the country will suffer if mifepristone is banned nationwide. Dem AGs are also encouraging pharmacies across the country to not give in to far-right Republican attacks and distribute medication abortion pills to patients.
Anti-choice extremists lied when they said abortion should be a states' rights issue. Their attacks on abortion could have national consequences, affecting every state in the country when it comes to abortion access. The hypocrisy of their attacks is unbelievable. Take my home state of Nevada — in 1990, Nevadans codified reproductive freedoms into our state constitution, and we’ve become a haven for those seeking reproductive care. These GOP AG-driven attacks against mifepristone are infringing on the rights of states like mine that still protect a woman’s right to choose.

Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
