1) Gee, Who Would Have Ever Thought a New York City Grand Jury Would Indict Donald Trump?

2) Biden Tax Plan Socks It to the Middle Class

Joe Biden keeps saying that his $3 trillion tax hike scheme doesn’t hit anyone making less than $400,000, but even his liberal allies have exposed that lie.

The chart below from the left-leaning Tax Policy Center shows typical middle-class families will pay between $500 to $1,000 a year more if the Biden tax plan were to ever see the light of day. This is because so many of the taxes on businesses get passed on to American families through higher prices.

The House Budget Committee reports that 111 million taxpayers would see their taxes rise next year including a majority of those making between $31,000 and $195,000 a year. These numbers don’t include the biggest tax of all: the Bidenflation tax which every year costs families roughly $3,000 to $4,000 a year in lost purchasing power, according to CTUP economist E.J. Antoni.

3) Amazing! 181 House Democrats Voted to Ban Gas Stoves

How crazy are House Democrats? More than 80% of them want to ban the gas stove in your kitchen as part of their deranged climate change agenda.

Kudos to Gary Palmer of Alabama for forcing this vote on blocking Biden's Department of Energy regulations on gas stoves (these rules ban about half of gas stoves and are the first step towards a total ban) which passed with unanimous GOP support.

We are eager to see how the Senators now vote on the Biden policy of outlawing gas stoves - if Chucky Schumer allows it to come up for a vote at all.

Here is the list of the 29 not-crazy-on-this-issue Democrats who voted with Republicans to save gas stoves:

4) Will Bernie and Randi Get Their Man in Chicago?

Some tens of thousands of Chicagoans turned out for a rally to watch Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of Brandon Johnson in his race for Chicago mayor. Meanwhile, the president of the teachers union Randi Weingarten threw in her support and dollars, as she crowed that Johnson will do the union’s bidding in opposing education freedom for Chicago’s children. Remember: this is a city where the schools don’t teach reading and math.

5) Europe Retreats on Electric Car Mandates, Will Britain and California Be Next?

Last year, the European Parliament voted to ban new diesel and gasoline cars and vans in the EU starting in 2035.

This week, EU bureaucrats started backpedaling from that radical position. The sale of traditional cars will be allowed if they burn “e-fuels”, a carbon-neutral synthetic alternative.

Benedetto Vigna, the CEO of Ferrari, says e-fuels will soon replace expensive battery-powered cars that are beyond the reach of the middle class. Will someone please tell these morons that natural gas IS a clean-burning fuel?

Count us as highly skeptical about the e-fuels fad. Isn’t the promise of lower costs what they’ve been saying about wind and solar power for years?

The EU decision has put enormous pressure on the foolish Brits, who’ve enacted a ban on gas cars in 2030. Conservative leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith says: “Unless we delay, we hand a massive boost to the Chinese car manufacturers. They are already dominant.”

Hey, we have a crazy idea: Why not let people buy whatever car they want?
