The Delgado Dispatch

Friend,

With the new year ahead of us, we have some ambitious 2020 goals to tackle together: Rebuilding our infrastructure, tackling the opioid epidemic, educating our young people, protecting the environment, supporting our veterans, empowering our family farms, achieving universal healthcare and expanding access to broadband and cell service.

That's why I've been traveling all over this great district -- holding three town halls in each and every county -- and collaborating with our neighbors to build policy that brings us closer to a better future for everyone.

At times, it's going to feel like the forces we face are too powerful, that the endless flow of super PAC money will successfully divide us and weaken our resolve. But our campaign will not allow that to happen.

Because we're rebuilding the bond between Congress and the people, with the values that embody our democracy. We're committed to being transparent in our actions and responsive to the people's agenda. We must put the government back in the hands of the people and our government must be solutions-oriented for the people.

In 2018, we could not have won without the tireless dedication of our volunteers. With your strength and voice powering our campaign, I know that we'll be ready to take on the corporate super PACs and special interests that continue to stand in the way of progress.

I look forward to the fight ahead of us. We're going to continue bringing positive change to upstate New York.

Thank you for joining me in the fight ahead.

Best,

Antonio

Around the district

On this #MLKday
, let us heed the words of Dr. King and understand that ''hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.''

One who has sacrificed on behalf of our country should never live without the safety or security of a roof over their head. I was proud to vote to expand veterans housing & give #NY19 veterans access to the care & safety they need.

Town halls are critically important to staying grounded in our community, and hearing from folks in towns across #NY19. I'm proud to be recognized as one of the most accessible members for our 33 town halls, including 3 in every county, in 2019!

Great to see folks taking part in Family Art Day at The @FarmersMuseum
in Cooperstown! Check out future arts programming at the museum in the coming months.

TNot only was 2019 the second hottest year on record, it was the end of the hottest decade in recorded history. Taking action to address climate change is a moral and economic necessity.

Family farming is a time-honored tradition in upstate, but millions of young people are facing prohibitive student debt that keeps folks from buying farm land. Proud to help introduce the Young Farmer Success Act to add farmers to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
