New and Prospective Member Meeting If you have volunteerism and civic engagement in your New Years resolution, join this dynamic and FUN group of young people at our new member meeting on August 12 at the City of Fairfax Library. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM. The Fairfax Young Democrats (FYD) is a progressive grassroots member-led organization principally comprised of young people within Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax. FYD develops politically conscious young community volunteers who are invested in improving their communities and the Democratic Party. In addition, we work to build a strong network of young progressives to lead in our community. If you think you might want to join, this is the meeting to attend. Join FYD members outside for a walk around a majestic marsh. Let's take advantage of one of Fairfax County's great natural amenities. The Nature Walk is scheduled for August 3 at Huntley Meadows Park. Our group is meeting in the parking lot at 8:00 AM. We might even see some awesome wildlife!
