Dear John, It has been two weeks since the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) filed its lawsuit against the city of Washington, D.C.’s noncitizen voting law, and the anti-borders opposition keeps showing how committed they are to weakening our sacred voting rights. Because they know they would lose a debate on the facts of the case, supporters of this law instead try to change the subject with talking points meant to distract the American people.
"Our disenfranchisement is on full display right now,” said radical D.C. City Council member Brianne K. Nadeau, referring to Congress’ oversight of D.C. laws. “We're expanding voting rights here while our autonomy is under attack."
This is meant to sound courageous, but it is dangerous to all Americans. They are “expanding voting rights” to citizens of other countries while diluting the power of our votes! This is ridiculous. IRLI is committed to overturning this extremist law, and we need your help.

As I’ve mentioned to you before, this D.C. voting law is a threat to legal residents in all fifty states. If allowed to stand, this law—which would allow noncitizens including illegal aliens living in the city for just 30 days—is likely to be copied in communities throughout the country. When this law went into effect two weeks ago, IRLI was the first and only group to file a lawsuit against the city to stop it. We are the only legal group in the country exclusively focused on protecting your rights from the harmful effects of excessive migration to the United States. While we are committed to this fight, it requires significant resources. IRLI does not receive grants from the federal government or shadowy billionaires like the opposition does.
