2022 Census of Agriculture deadline extended
isda
The deadline to complete the 2022 Census of Agriculture [ [link removed] ] has been extended! The Census?is a complete count of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them. Even small plots of land - whether rural or urban - growing fruit, vegetables or some food animals count if $1,000 or more of such products were raised and sold, or normally would have been sold, during the census year.
The Census of Agriculture, taken only once every five years, looks at land use and ownership, operator characteristics, production practices, income and expenditures. For America?s farmers and ranchers, the Census of Agriculture is their voice, their future and their opportunity.

Promoting exports for Indiana's hardwood industry
isda
In March, ISDA staff advocated for the export of U.S. hardwood products to two key markets alongside other members of the American Hardwood Export Council. ISDA International Trade Director, Drew Sherman, met with furniture manufacturers and exhibited at the DelhiWood 2023 trade show in India. ISDA Hardwoods Program Manager, Chris Gonso, met buyers and importers while exhibiting at the DubaiWood 2023 trade show in UAE.
Export promotion activities like this help to generate trade leads in important markets for Indiana companies that supply hardwood products used worldwide. Hardwood exports are a key part of the Indiana Hardwood Strategy.
