Dear Reader,
We’re so fortunate to have readers like yourself. As one of our most faithful readers, you’ve shown that you value unbiased, thoughtful local reporting, and we couldn’t be more grateful. So far this fiscal year, reader support has helped power pieces that provide context on sexual assault at local campuses, the upcoming county executive election, this year’s unusual property tax appeal season and a public-service guide on signing a lease, to name a few.
I’m writing today to ask for your help in overcoming a challenge we’re currently facing. As you may know, recurring gifts are a powerful way to ensure the future of PublicSource. We’ve learned the best way to keep on solid financial footing is to be able to predict as much as possible of our revenue from month to month, and recurring gifts are the key to that stability. But so far in 2023, over 25 recurring members have ended their gifts.
So I’m asking for your help closing this gap: Are you able to take the next step and go from a regular reader to a recurring donor? If you start a monthly gift of $7 or more, you can receive our brand-new zippered tote bag, with art by local artist Andrea Shockling!

Regardless, please know that we’re grateful to have you as a reader. Thank you for helping us tell stories for a better Pittsburgh.
With our sincere thanks,
Alyia Paulding
