Dear John,

CJA’S NEWEST VIDEO: FRONTLINE YOUTH: FIGHTING FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE [3] IS
OUT AND WE’RE SHARING IT WITH YOU FIRST! [3]

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and 528 years of
Colonialism. It also signals the acceleration of some of the most systemic
challenges that we and future generations will face in our lifetimes with
the rise of right wing threats, the decline of our ecological balance and a
historically unprecedented roll back of over 95 federal environmental
regulations. We know who suffers most from water, land, and climate
pollution. That’s why it is important that Black and Brown youth speak
for themselves to tell their stories as a part of an intergenerational
movement for liberation from all extractive systems and industries.

WILL YOU JOIN US IN HELPING TO SPREAD THEIR IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR CLIMATE
JUSTICE? Take a few minutes to watch the video and share it with your
friends, family and networks. It’s quick and easy to do with our SOCIAL
MEDIA TOOLKIT [4]. IN JUST A FEW CLICKS YOU CAN HELP AMPLIFY THE VOICES OF
FRONTLINE YOUTH TODAY! And don’t forget to use the hashtag
#FrontlineYouth when you do!

This 7 minute video showcases the beauty and joy of young people who come
from a long legacy of intergenerational leadership grounded in community.
They are fighting against the culprits of climate change and climate
destruction in their own communities, and winning! Frontline youth are also
an integral part of the creative and innovative solutions to the climate
crisis that are grounded in our communities’ cultural practices and
reclaiming the traditions of our ancestors. In FRONTLINE YOUTH: FIGHTING
FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE [3] you’ll learn more about what climate justice
means to them and get a glimpse into their lives and struggle for a better
world.

video, and to the CJA members who appear in it, especially UPROSE [6] for
enabling us to capture the inspiration, voices and vision of frontline
youth of color during the 7th annual Climate Justice Youth Summit [7].
