The FEC deadline is tomorrow, but we’re not on track to meet our goal. This deadline is important for every campaign, but it’s even more important for us because of how competitive this district is. Republicans are already running ads attacking me, and our race was once again rated a toss-up by national experts, so we need to be prepared for anything.

Will you rush a contribution right now ahead of tomorrow’s deadline?

Our final fundraising numbers will be public, and the best way for me to deter anyone from throwing their hat in the ring is to have a robust campaign bank account. It has consistently been shown that early money is the best way to win a campaign – partly because it encourages others to also give, but mostly because potential opponents are scared off by incumbents who have plenty of cash on hand.
