Far-right activists challenged parts of the Affordable Care Act that required insurers to cover preventive care, including pregnancy-related care, at no cost to patients — and a federal judge struck those protections down.
Now, employers AREN’T required to cover essential screenings for preeclampsia, breast and cervical cancers, depression, HIV, and more through their insurance policies.
Let’s be crystal clear: This ruling will kill.
Without coverage for preventative care, the most vulnerable among us — women, pregnant people, kids, LGBTQ+ folks, and low-income Americans — will be forced to simply go without it.
This attack on our health is unacceptable. We won’t take it.
