“The median income of our bus drivers and our cafeteria workers and our school
aides is $25,000 a year. Who can live on $25,000 a year? Those are poverty
wages.”

Adam’s campaign is about creating an economy that works for everyone.
Caring for students is one of the most meaningful careers — it’s time to
support those who support our kids.

That’s the message that Adam delivered on the picket line — and the
leadership of the Los Angeles Unified School District responded.

A 30 percent pay increase for workers. Fully paid health care benefits for
union members. But it’s clear we need to do more. And it would help if the
federal government met its commitment to provide greater funding for
eduction — it would help a lot.

Republicans don’t want Adam in the Senate fighting for us, and they’re
