On January 29, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release its 2020 Annual Energy Outlook (AEO) at a public event hosted by the Bipartisan Policy Center. EIA releases its Annual Energy Outlook each year to provide updated projections of U.S. energy markets.
The event will feature a presentation by EIA Administrator Dr. Linda Capuano followed by a panel discussion on the challenges and market trends facing the electricity sector.
The Annual Energy Outlook provides modeled projections of domestic energy markets through 2050, and it includes cases with different assumptions about macroeconomic growth, world oil prices, and technological progress. The EIA, the statistical and analytical agency within the U.S. Department of Energy, is the nation’s most authoritative source of data, forecasts, and analysis of the U.S. energy market.
