THE WEEK'S BIG 3

ADL’s annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents revealed a 36 percent in the U.S. to another record level in 2022. It's the third time in five years that reported antisemitic incidents —from bomb threats to slurs, vandalism, harassment and assault — were the most on record since the ADL began tracking such incidents in 1979. ADL joined seven other organizations serving the Jewish community in New York and New Jersey, forming the Jewish Security Alliance of New York and New Jersey to help shore up security at local Jewish institutions. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu halted his controversial judicial reform plan amid an intense backlash that has created one of the
most significant domestic crises in the country's history.

Netanyahu announces pause to judicial overhaul plan after days of strikes that threatened to paralyze economy

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Monday he will delay the controversial judicial reforms that have drawn unprecedented opposition in the country, as Israel's largest trade union group launched a strike across a broad swath of sectors. The strike by the Histadrut umbrella group, which represents more than 700,000 workers in health, transit and banking, among many other fields, threatened to paralyze large parts of Israel's economy, which is already on shaky ground, as it added to the surging protests against the plan. Immediately after Netanyahu's announcement, the head of the country's largest trade union said it would call off the strike.” CBS News:
