ADF clients filed lawsuits against California—now the federal government has taken action!

Dear John,
California is on notice.
Last week, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights sent a letter to California informing the state that it broke the law. Specifically, the state violated federal law by creating a policy to force churches and people of faith to pay for elective abortions through health insurance plans.
This is fantastic news—especially for ADF clients Skyline Wesleyan Church in the San Diego area and Foothill Church of the Los Angeles area.
Thanks to God’s blessing and the prayers and financial support of people like you, these two churches were able to file lawsuits against the state after they were forced to choose between their deeply held pro-life beliefs and providing health insurance to their employees.
Now, California has 30 days to correct course…or else.
