About the double murder of Ukrainian journalist Maks Levin and a friend

Dear Friends,

RSF has been pursuing its field investigation into the execution-style
double murder of Ukrainian journalist Maks Levin and a friend one year ago in a forest near Kyiv with the aim of identifying those responsible and bringing them to justice.

The official investigation has made little progress in recent several months but RSF’s investigators have obtained a list of the
numbers of mobile phones belonging to Russian soldiers that connected to the same antennae as Levin’s did on the day of his murder. They have also been able to compile a complete list of Russian military units that were near the place where Levin and his friend were executed.

With help from the Ukrainian authorities, both civilian and military, we will continue our investigation until those responsible for this double murder are identified. Your support is essential for us to be able to press on with this long-term project.
