Have you seen my husband Hank on the news lately?
Because I saw him on C-SPAN the other day (yes, we’re C-SPAN nerds in this household), and the way he was talking, I could have sworn there was still a Democratic majority in the U.S. House.
See, Hank hasn’t slowed down ONE BIT since Kevin McCarthy became Speaker and took control of the House agenda. My husband is still pushing for all the things he promised you he’d fight for, and he’s doing it with every fiber of his being — even though he knows McCarthy will never bring any of his bills to the floor.
Hank knows that there’s right and there’s wrong, and nothing else matters. A Republican majority doesn’t mean Hank gets to sit on his hands for two years. It means he has to fight even harder to bring attention to the issues his constituents elected him to work on.
Protecting voter rights, defending access to reproductive care, lowering costs for working families, holding Supreme Court justices accountable, and bringing modern jobs and transportation home to Georgia — these are the reasons Hank is in Congress.
I’m so proud that Hank is not backing down, and that he’s not letting Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan suck all the air out of the room with their faux investigations and feigned MAGA victimhood.
