Friend, do you know what the inside of an overdose prevention center (OPC) looks like? If not, a new video I made shows you.
There are many misconceptions about OPCs. But when I toured one recently, I saw a community that looks out for each other. I had the pleasure of visiting OnPoint NYC and speaking with staff. They are an organization that opened the first two sanctioned overdose prevention centers in the United States in November 2021. Since then, they have reversed hundreds of overdoses and connected thousands of people with addiction services and other social supports.
Please watch our new video for an insider look at the lifesaving care overdose prevention centers offer to people who use drugs.
DPA is proud to have led the efforts making the OPCs in New York City possible. And with your continued support, we are fighting for OPCs nationwide to help curb the overdose crisis and give people who use drugs the care they deserve.
Don’t forget to watch the video!
Sincerely,
