John, in the months leading up to last November's elections, pundits predicted that Republicans would make major inroads with Latino voters in key battleground states. But now, new data coming out of Texas is telling a different story.

"Texas Republicans Lost Latino Support in Election Setback"
Despite GOP push, red wave along the border fizzled out

Thanks to the work of organizations like Voto Latino that invested in voter registration and mobilization in states like Texas, Republican efforts to win over Latino voters were largely fruitless. In fact, several GOP candidates even lost support among Latino voters compared to previous elections.
This progress came from decades of hard work. Now our grassroots movement is gearing up for the next hurdle:
Our challenge: Our community is one of the largest voting demographics in Texas but overall Latino voter participation is still low. Until that changes, we'll never flip Texas blue.
Our opportunity: There are 800,000 young Latinos in Texas who will reach voting age by the next election. If we can register and mobilize these young people, we can make our community's voices heard in 2024.
At Voto Latino, we don't take time off between elections. Instead, we invest in continuous voter outreach in key battleground states so we can build Latino political power for years to come. Will you help support our work with a grassroots donation today?
