Doctors, nurses, and health care workers go to work every day — many in hospitals across the country, including in rural and often under-served communities — to provide life-saving care and routine treatments. Under continued stress and workforce pressures, and facing the prospect of budget cuts this year, there is no better time to pause and say “thank you” to these essential workers.
