HAPPENING NOW: We are on the ground in Monroe County, Mississippi, at the urgent request of the Amory Humane Society after devastating tornadoes swept through the area last week, impacting their shelter and many other businesses and homes in the community. |
Our disaster response team is currently assisting with evacuation, emergency sheltering, search-and-rescue efforts, distributing pet food and supplies to families impacted by the storm, and helping clean up Amory Humane Society’s shelter, which sustained severe damage.
During this time, we’ve also helped relocate many of the animals who were in Amory Humane Society’s care to shelter partners and an ASPCA recovery facility where they will receive care and be made available for adoption. Oktibbeha County Humane Society is also assisting with emergency sheltering efforts. |
As our response in Mississippi continues to develop, we urgently need compassionate people like you by our side to support our lifesaving efforts for animals impacted by disasters and emergencies.
While we remain in close contact with Mississippi-based emergency management agencies and local animal welfare organizations to provide continued support, we hope we can count on you. Your gift today can help provide rescue, care, protection and shelter to animals in times of crisis—now and in the future. Please make an urgent gift now. |
