After Friday night, my team will close the books on our quarterly fundraising numbers for the very first time this election cycle and the status of our grassroots fundraising will be public.

Ever since the GOP establishment listed me as one of their top 2024 targets, there has been a spotlight on Maine’s 2nd District. I know they’ll use our public fundraising report as an opportunity to look for any advantage they might have over this grassroots team, so it’s critical we put up a strong showing.

This race won’t be easy. A dark money group has already started running ads in Maine targeting me, and with over a year left until the election I know this is just the beginning. We know Kevin McCarthy and his allies are trying to recruit someone to run against me that will do exactly what he says.

If I learned anything from our previous elections, it’s that uphill battles like the one before us are won by staying competitive at every stage of the race. I know we can win if we come together to build a strong foundation today.
