An Evening with Denis Phillips on May 12
In-person event at The Straz Center in Tampa, Florida
6:30 p.m. VIP meet-and-greet
8 p.m. Program
You’re invited to join Poynter at The Straz for a special evening with the weatherman who keeps Tampa Bay cool: ABC Action News Chief Meteorologist Denis Phillips.
For decades, Tampa Bay residents have relied on Phillips during severe weather because of his soothing demeanor, accuracy and nature to tell it like it is with his famous Rule No. 7: “Stop freaking out… until I tell you to. We’re fine.”
Now’s your chance to get to know this cool-headed, suspender-wearing icon and say thanks for keeping Tampa Bay informed, calm and safe through wild weather events.
Come learn the science behind the state’s most historic weather, discuss climate and its effect on Floridians, get safety tips for the 2023 hurricane season, and have a little fun along the way. |
Tickets:
$25-$45 General admission
$75 add-on for the VIP meet-and-greet
Includes pre-program access to a private reception with Denis Phillips at Maestro's at the Straz Center. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and networking with local journalists, media executives and community members. |
