April Brings Mathematics and Statistics, Earth Day, Pets, and More!

Have fun with statistics in April! Share our Spring Kahoot! game, Earth Day Fun Facts, and other resources with your students to celebrate this month?s observances from Mathematics and Statistical Awareness to Earth Day. They will learn things like 59,000 million households in the United States were heated by utility gas in 2021 and there were about 32,000 establishments that provided veterinary services for our pet pals in 2020.

Looking Back at the 1950s

The National Archives and Records Administration released last year, April 1, 2022, the 1950 Census population records. These and all census records are kept confidential for 72 years before they become public. Census records are great resources for tracing family ancestry. This warm-up activity provides a starting point for students to trace their ancestry by constructing family trees.
