It's National Doctor Day, john. Today's a day to honor physicians and all they do for our community, so we wanted to take a moment to talk about our favorite doctor – Kim!
Kim isn't your average politician. Before coming to Congress, she served families in Issaquah as a pediatrician for 17 years, listening to and helping solve problems with thousands of patients and their families across the 8th District.
In 2018, Kim became the first pediatrician ever elected to Congress. Since then, she's brought her unique perspective to the Capitol and fought to end surprise medical billing, make healthcare more affordable by shoring up the ACA, defend reproductive rights, and bring down the cost of lifesaving prescription drugs. Kim will always fight back against any attacks on access to health care and having her perspective and leadership in Congress is critical.
But in a swing district like WA-08, Kim will always be a top target for Republicans. Kim has faced Republicans before who wanted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, oppose reforms to prescription drug laws, and even ban abortion nationally. Thanks to your support, she's fended off challenges from MAGA Republicans before, but she needs your help to do it again.
On this National Doctors Day, chip in to help us reach our first FEC end-of-quarter deadline so we can keep Dr. Kim Schrier in Congress fighting to expand access to health care →
