Dear Friend,

Today, U.S. Senators Tammy Duckworth, Patty Murray, and Mazie Hirono
re-introduced the EACH Act—a bold, groundbreaking piece of legislation to
end the Hyde Amendment and guarantee insurance coverage of abortion. We
thank our elected officials who are listening to the majority of people
who believe all of us should have the freedom to define our path without
politicians interfering. But we need ALL hands, including the support of
every member of our U.S. Congress, on deck if we want to achieve true
reproductive justice!

[ [link removed] ]Tell Congress to enact policies that will protect and ensure abortion
care, such as the EACH Act, so that everyone can live with economic
security and dignity.

What is the EACH Act?

The Equal Access to Abortion Coverage (EACH) Act is a bill that would
repeal the Hyde Amendment, which has for over 40 years, restricted federal
funds from being used to cover abortions across the country. Even when Roe
v. Wade was in place, the Hyde Amendment has pushed abortion care out of
reach for people of color working to make ends meet. Last year we all
witnessed the fall of Roe and this year, it is clear that the states are
doing everything they can to limit and ban abortion entirely.

The EACH Act:

* Will ensure that every person receiving insurance through our federal
government will receive equitable abortion coverage and care;
* Protects those in need of care from federal legislators interference
with the private insurance market;
* Guarantees coverage for abortion without restrictions based on how
much money we earn, how we are insured, or where we live; and
* Will help break down inequities in abortion access due to racism,
economic security, and/or immigration status.

[ [link removed] ]Sign on now to urge your lawmakers to support and pass the EACH Act, a
bill that will guarantee coverage for abortion without restrictions based
on how much money we have, how we are insured, or where we live.

The decision to become a parent is one of the most important life
decisions we can make. When people are able to make decisions that are
best for their lives, however much they earn, our families and communities
thrive. We know that most people who get abortions are already moms; and
we also know that no matter how we feel about abortion itself, politicians
shouldn’t be allowed to deny someone health coverage for it just because
they are struggling financially.

[ [link removed] ]Urge your member of Congress to pass the EACH Act: a necessary health
care bill for women and mothers. Sign on with us!

Abortion justice belongs in federal policy, and this bill gets us one step
closer.

Thank you,

- Diarra and the entire MomsRising/MamásConPoder team

P.S.  Women have, for decades, led the movement to end abortion coverage
bans in our communities and on political grounds. We want to use this
space to extend gratitude towards our U.S. Representatives Barbara Lee,
Jan Schakowsky, Diana DeGette, and Ayanna Pressley and U.S. Senators Tammy
Duckworth, Mazie Hirono, and Patty Murray, for introducing the EACH Act to
ensure that every person will have insurance coverage for abortion and be
fully in control of their own bodies and lives. We’d also like to thank
our partners at [ [link removed] ]All*AboveAll for leading us all on this issue. Together
we can and will protect access to reproductive health.
