Friends,
Democrats are on a spending spree – and the impending economic downturn isn’t slowing them down.
Democrats in the State House
and Senate joined Jay Inslee in proposing separate budgets that spend $70 billion in taxpayer dollars over the next two
years. If adopted, though would mean our state spending has doubled since 2013 when Inslee took office.
Of course, the biggest
benefactors of Democrats’ latest planned spending spree are also the biggest donors to Democrat campaigns. Big donors like the state
employees’ unions and the Service Employees International Union secured record-breaking raises for their members, courtesy of Washington
families across the state.
Inslee and his fellow Democrats were proud to step up for their special interest donors in the budget process, while at
the same time providing no tax relief whatsoever to Washingtonians.
Democrats’ latest spending spree proves – once again –
that they are more interested in lining the pockets of their biggest supporters and expanding government than in helping working families. They refuse
to provide economic relief for families, even though their high-inflation policies are stealing money from every paycheck.
Adding insult to injury, mainstream media
outlets provide cover for Democrats rather than fighting for Washingtonians. We here at Shift WA work to represent taxpayers by shining a
light on what’s really going on in Olympia.
Thank you,
The Shift WA
