“Money talks.”

It’s an old adage that unfortunately still rings very true in the world of
politics.

Pundits look at fundraising numbers like sports stats as an indication of
how successful a candidate or campaign is — and how much support there is
for their ideas. Right now, among the entire House of Representatives
(Democrats and Republicans), AOC is in 10th place.^1

While most of the campaigns ahead of us accept corporate money, Alexandria
refuses to take special interest money and relies exclusively on
grassroots donations. We’re still the #1 small-dollar funded campaign — a
testament to our movement’s strength and it’s truly only possible thanks
to all of you.

We’re asking for your help to keep Alexandria as a top fundraiser so that
we not only have the resources to carry out our plans, but also to help
our priorities and policies get the legitimacy they deserve.
