Lately, it seems Republicans have forgotten what the meaning of impeachment is.
Impeachment occurs when officials are charged with misconduct – the misconduct in question? Janet Protasiewicz’s stance on protecting abortion in Wisconsin.
Republican state Senate candidate Dan Knodl says if his election gives Senate Republicans a two-thirds majority, he would "certainly consider" supporting launching impeachment proceedings against Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Janet Protasiewicz.
That’s right, Dan Knodl actually said he’d vote to impeach Judge Protasiewicz if he were to win next Tuesday.
Folks , this is not a joke. What this is, is an attack on our democracy. Threatening to impeach a judge days before an election shows just how far the extremists are willing to go to keep their hold on Wisconsin – and we can’t let them.
We have to do everything we can to defeat them. Our reproductive rights depend on it. Our democracy depends on it. Luckily, we have momentum, but we have to keep it up because the race for the majority is neck-and-neck, and every dollar counts. So please, can you chip in now so we can reach as many voters as we can before Tuesday and keep MAGA Republicans OUT of the majority?
