There’s nothing better than sharing my pride in North Carolina. Yesterday, it was a great pleasure to join President Biden in Durham to talk about his administration’s plans to build a brighter future here in NC and across the country.

President Biden knows the importance of creating a strong economy, strengthening our infrastructure, protecting our climate, securing health care access, defending democracy, and more. These are all priorities that I share — and the President came down to Durham because our state is on the forefront of innovation and growth. It’s also on the frontlines of the presidential election in 2024.

Our state is a true toss up. We have an equal number of Republican and Democratic representatives in the U.S. House. I won my races for governor the same years Donald Trump carried the state. It was among the closest states in 2020, with Trump’s slimmest margin of victory anywhere.

I know that 2024 is the year Democrats can carry North Carolina at every level of government — but only if we lay the groundwork now.

John, I told President Joe Biden I would deliver him a victory in North Carolina next year. But I can’t do it alone.
