With your support, biologists conducted a landmark 3 year study
on Glacier's lynx population. Now, two papers have been published
from this research.

One study, in Nature
( [link removed] ),
investigates the effect of covid-related closures on Glacier's
wildlife.

A second paper provides baseline data that shows how essential
this habitat is for the survival of the species. The study was
recently published in the Journal of Wildlife Management

.

We spoke with one of the authors, biologist Alissa Anderson, in a
new project update blog

Glacier Book Club:
Last Stand with author Michael Punke

From the author of the #1 bestselling book, The Revenant, comes
the story of the American West through the lens of the bison.
Over the last three decades of the nineteenth century, 30 million
buffalo were reduced to twelve. Into that maelstrom rode young
George Bird Grinnell. A scientist, journalist, hunter and
conservationist, Grinnell would lead the battle to save this
species. Last Stand is the story of the death of the old West,
and the birth of the conservation movement.
