Climate scientists say we’re only 12 years away from experiencing the irreversible effects of climate change. We owe our children and future generations the hope of a livable planet. But in order to deliver, Congress needs to act soon including a moonshot investment in producing clean renewable energy.

The Administration’s approval of the Willow Project is a step backward. This project will prolong our dependence on dirty fossil fuels, slow the transition to renewables, and make it impossible to reach our goal of keeping global warming below 2 degrees Celsius.

The economic benefits from this project are short-term. A healthy planet is forever.
