Hey John, it’s Becca!
This month was a BIG one! With Congress in session, I split my time going back and forth between Vermont and DC.
In Congress, I voted down bills that attacked transgender youth and spoke out on the floor for the need to invest in teen mental health care.
In Vermont, I held my first housing town hall in Barre, spent time with newly arrived refugee families in Brattleboro, and met with older Vermonters in Springfield and Windsor.
Every time I have to go, I leave a piece of my heart in my home state. But it’s the honor of my life to get to fight on for all of you in Washington, and to hold the line on Vermont values at a time when so much of what we hold dear is under attack.
I’ve got my first FEC quarterly filing deadline of the year this Friday, and I’m calling on my supporters to help me finish strong. We’re still about $2,000 short of our goal, and it takes a village to run this campaign – but I know I can count on this team to support me. Can you contribute $5 or more to our campaign before our end-of-quarter deadline this Friday?
Fundraising is my least favorite part of this work, but it’s absolutely necessary in order to help me continue to travel the state, begin opening field offices, and fight fiercely for our communities in Washington – and your support means the world to me.
In gratitude,
Becca Balint
