Nashville has become yet another community ripped apart by gun violence after a shooter mercilessly killed three children and three adults with an assault rifle. More people – more children – are dead now, because Congress has continuously failed to ban these weapons of war. The gunman in Nashville used an assault weapon because it’s designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. Yesterday’s shooting lasted only 14 minutes and six people lost their lives. These have become the choice firearm for mass shooters, and even though Biden President Biden has pleaded with Congress tragedy after tragedy, they refuse to listen.
