YOU CAN HELP BRIDGE THE GAP IN AFFIRMING HARM REDUCTION CARE! NHRC is searching for a consultant to collaborate with our Lighthouse Learning Collective (LLC), a program dedicated to improving harm reduction service delivery for LGB/TGNC+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and gender nonconforming) participants throughout New York City. LLC seeks to develop a toolkit that provides inclusive and affirming care in a syringe services program (SSP). This toolkit is crucial to address how many LGB/TGNC+ participants do not utilize their local SSPs because of a lack of services that truly meet and affirm their needs. The anticipated budget for this project is $20,000 to $30,000.
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ folks local to NYC, harm reduction practitioners, and people with lived experience of drug use, sex work, and/or HIV/HCV are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. However, candidates with extensive expertise in this area will also be considered! The deadline for proposals is Friday, March 31, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
