John, the attacks against our pro-civil rights DAs have escalated in 2023 in some of the largest states in America. That’s why we are using our end-of-quarter fundraising push to raise for our DA Defense Fund:

As you can see, we still have a major portion of our goal left to fundraise, but thankfully we still have time to turn this momentum around.

We know the kind of progress we are able to accomplish together. Our DAs have charged over 100 police officers with misconduct after they committed violence or murder or other serious misconduct. These DAs have also freed over 250 innocent people who spent decades in prison for crimes they didn’t commit.

And we know that times are tough, and not everyone who reads this is able to donate right now, but we need as many people as possible in this to help us defend our work.

Not only are conservatives attacking our DAs in some of the largest U.S. states — these states also have the largest Black communities.

Our DAs are fighting to transform the system and undo generations of white supremacy, and conservatives are building a nationwide movement to threaten them more than ever, from battling them on their progress to removing them from office all together.

Those attacks have only gotten worse in 2023 and will continue to get worse as we get closer to Former President Donald Trump being indicted.
