FIND OUT HOW TO GET INVOLVED HERE!

Dear John,

This year’s Zoo Awareness Weekend falls on April 7th-10th, and with your help we can spread the word of how animal's are suffering in zoos across the UK and beyond, and make a difference for animals!

So many of our wonderful supporters and animal rights groups are planning on hitting the streets to hold protests and information stalls across the UK, so there is most likely an event near you! But if not, why not get involved and hold your own event in the name of animals!

We provide free campaign materials to activists and supporters who want to hold their own demos and stalls, to provide the public with information on the reality of zoos. You can order them here!

Please be mindful that the last day for posting in time for demos held over this Zoo Awareness Weekend will be Monday 2nd April! If after this date, please email us at [email protected] and we will try our best to help.

Every year Freedom for Animals holds a weekend of action to highlight the suffering that thousands of captive animals in UK zoos, aquariums, and mobile zoos face. Whether it be a zoo or aquarium, or one of the many mobile zoos that exploit animals for human entertainment and profit, Zoo Awareness Weekend aims to shine a light on the plight of the individual animals involved.

There are so many ways to get involved and help animals, even if you are unable to attend an in-person event. You can find out more below:

Some ideas for the great ways you can help animals on Zoo Awareness Weekend:

📢 Hold a demonstration at your local zoo or aquarium
🦅 Distribute leaflets in your local area
🦉 Hold an information stall in your town centre, local library or school
🐘 Take part in online actions on our social media pages
🐢 Hold a fundraising event to support our zoo campaigns
🦉 Donate to our future campaigns to help us continue the fight!

And there's so many more! You can find out more here!

To highlight how many incredibly fun experiences that are now available to the public which don't involved the exploitation of animals, we have published a new blog called 'Easter Days Out', which lists some great family-friendly animal-free alternatives to visiting the zoo or aquarium! You can read it by clicking the link below:

Thank you for your support in the continued fight for animal freedom. With your help we can raise awareness on the terrible suffering zoos and aquariums cause, and stand up for the animals imprisoned in them. See you on the streets!
