John,
We know we’ve been sending a lot of emails lately, but today we want to keep you up to date with what Hillary is working on in Congress. Here’s a quick overview of just a few of the things she’s been up to lately:
Advocating for our kids
After the New York Times reported on migrant child labor in West Michigan, Hillary called on President Biden to implement an inter-agency task force to investigate and address the crisis of child labor in our country – a task force that has now been implemented.
Hillary joined with several colleagues – and fellow mothers – to condemn H.R. 5, an extremist anti-parent, anti-student, and anti-teacher piece of legislation passed by House Republicans that would endanger our most vulnerable students.
Bipartisanship
Hillary joined the Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group committed to working across the aisle to get things done for American families and workers. She also organized a bipartisan March Madness bracket for her fellow new Members of Congress!
Committee work
Last week, Hillary sat as the ranking member on the U.S. Coast Guard subcommittee and asked questions to ensure that members of the Coast Guard are safe and protected while they carry out their crucial work.
On the Small Business committee, she strongly advocated for women- and minority-owned businesses to get the support they need to succeed.
We know Hillary’s work in Congress would not be possible without supporters like you. Thank you for everything that you do.
Gratefully,
Scholten HQ
