I'm about to ask you to donate $5, John. But first, please let me explain why your $5 today will make such a big difference in the fight to defend our narrow Democratic Senate majority.
You see, after my end-of-quarter deadline in just a couple of days, all of our fundraising numbers will become public. And if we show ANY signs of weakness in these numbers, the full force of the GOP — the attack ads, the fear-mongering, the lies — will be unleashed in New York state.
After New York Republicans had their best election cycle in decades last year, my campaign is already a major target. We can't give them ANY more reasons to think that this seat is vulnerable. And that means Mitch McConnell will have free rein to take the GOP's dangerous agenda nationwide. No exception abortion bans. Weakening our voting rights. Taking away Social Security benefits. Mitch McConnell has an endless list of megadonors that he can — and will — call on to bankroll his extremist candidates. But I refuse to accept a single cent from corporate PACs.
