Hey friend,
In the first three months of 2023, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff have overcome numerous challenges to ensure lifesaving care for millions of people in need: devastating earthquakes in Turkey (officially renamed Türkiye) and Syria, ongoing war and displacement in Ukraine, and cholera outbreaks in at least ten countries, just to name a few.
It’s thanks to our generous donors that we are still able to save lives every day.
What we know after more than 50 years of doing this vital work, and what has become increasingly evident over the last few years, is that disasters don’t wait their turn—many strike vulnerable communities that are already experiencing or recovering from existing crises.
We rely on the steadfast support of monthly donors, called MSF Field Partners, to provide a reliable source of funding from which we can draw in times of emergency. In many cases, Field Partners make it possible for our teams to respond within the first minutes of a disaster—and right now, we’re recognizing this impact by giving a special MSF backpack to all those who commit to a monthly gift.
The beauty of monthly giving is that regardless of how much you contribute each month—$30, $60, $90, or more—you can rest assured that your charitable dollars are helping save lives every single day in more than 70 countries.
$30/month ($1/day) could provide a severely malnourished child with four weeks of lifesaving therapeutic food.
$60/month ($2/day) could purchase supplies to make ten emergency burn dressings in the event of an emergency.
$90/month ($3/day) could supply four weeks of clean water for 60 displaced families.
And of course, starting a recurring gift before month’s end (11:59 p.m. on March 31) will earn you this exclusive MSF backpack as a token of our gratitude.
