Hi there, folks.
We’re just two days away from my first FEC fundraising deadline as a member of Congress. We’ve added quite a few supporters to our email list lately, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share my vision for a better IL-17 and a better America.
As the leading weatherman for Rockford and the Quad Cities for over 20 years, I built a deep connection with the communities in my home district. I spent my career communicating with Illinoisans about our climate challenges and how the weather impacted peoples’ lives.
In the process, I earned the trust of thousands by telling the truth, and I'm humbled to say that played a huge role in the success of my congressional campaign. Voters in Central and Northwestern Illinois sent a message that they trust their hometown meteorologist to represent them in Congress.
Here are some of my top priorities as a Congressman:
- Protecting reproductive freedom
- Addressing climate change
- Lowering prescription drug prices
- Investing in affordable housing and quality public transportation in our communities
To continue to fight on behalf of the people of IL-17, I need to win re-election in 2024. And as I mentioned, we’re in the midst of a critical fundraising push that will set the stage for what’s sure to be another close election. My team set a goal of raising $50,000 in the final week before the deadline, and we’re getting close. With another $13,350 we can meet this important goal.
Will you help us send a clear message that IL-17 is ready to keep an advocate for the truth in Congress?
