A: Yes, of course — all fundraising deadlines serve as important benchmarks and provide the bulk of DDF’s resources. But this is the first quarterly goal of 2023, a year ripe with big elections that will have HUGE consequences.

Q: Isn’t 2023 an “off-year?”

A: While there isn’t a presidential election this year, there are still a lot of important elections in 2023 — we have to expand our majorities in the Virginia and New Jersey state legislatures, elect Democratic governors in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and flip the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Q: How big of an impact can my $10 or $20 donation really have?

A: MASSIVE. The GOP might have the support of dark money PACs and corporate billionaires, but we have a movement of tens of thousands of grassroots supporters who donate what they can, when they can. And together, we can overcome the odds.
