John, here we go again... another end-of-quarter push, another plea of endless emails asking you for money.

Naturally, you are annoyed and fatigued. Believe me, it is not fun on this side of the computer either having to write these emails.

I want to share a story with you to help make the case for why you should consider supporting No Dem Left Behind today: A few weeks ago I was attending a conference in DC with dozens of other Executive Directors from other Democratic Organizations all of whom are doing vital work.

We try to meet up every couple of months to share notes and work together on any projects or campaigns when possible. During the conference, we discussed fundraising. Everyone, of course, dreaded that conversation because as you can imagine it is the hardest part of the job, especially in off years like we are in now. Out of all the organizations we were the only ones that did not have any major benefactors supporting us and my colleagues looked at me puzzled when I told them this. You see, we at No Dem Left Behind are a grassroots organization through and through and we are so proud of that. 

Our average donation is less than $30 and the only way we can do that work is because of your support, John. Please, continue to support our work.

We don't need major benefactors, although if you know anyone please send 'em our way :-).

In all seriousness, I want to thank you for all the support. You are what keeps us going and it is you that we turn to when we have deadlines like the one we are approaching. I am always available for a phone call or zoom meeting to provide updates on where we stand, and what we are working on, and answer any questions you may have.
