One thing we know for certain, John: bigots absolutely hate it when an LGBTQ+ candidate wins. Last cycle, anti-equality groups did their best to smear our candidates. Bigots attacked our candidates’ partners and families, sent anti-LGBTQ death threats on social media and falsely accused candidates of pedophilia and called them them 'groomers' – old and disgusting tactics used to marginalize LGBTQ+ people.

This year, they’re back at it. Danica Roem is facing ANOTHER anti-trans and anti-choice opponent in her race for the Virginia state Senate. One of Jalen McKee-Rodriguez's opponents previously wrote "The Bible does declare homosexuality a sin, regardless of what the law (sic) say" and was involved in a scandal where pastors urged voters not to support Jalen because of his "lifestyle."

We can’t let these bigots take pro-equality seats in Virginia, Texas or anywhere else. Pitch in TODAY to defend our LGBTQ+ candidates and defeat these bigots!

We don’t have time to waste. Spotlight candidates and incumbents like Jalen are on the ballot in April and May, and Virginia’s elections will be here before you know it. Extremist right-wing committees are already geared up for 2024 – they’ll do anything to beat pro-equality candidates!

We must have the resources to defend our LGBTQ+ candidates this year and build a war chest for 2024. Pitch in today to fight back and beat these bigots!
